Tyler Heath Helps Lead Florida Swimming to Zone Victory

Florida Swimming completed a dominating performance at the 2009 Southern Zone Age Group Championships amassing 788 points over the 5 day competition.  The closest competition came from Southeastern Swimming (624pts), North Carolina Swimming (505pts), and Georgia Swimming (469pts).  Tyler definitely did his part in helping Florida Swimming earn their 3^rd consecutive championship.  He made 2 individual finals including the 200 free finishing in 6^th place with a time of 2:10.51, and the 400 free finishing in 6^th place with a time of 4:33.61, both personal bests.  Tyler also competed on both of the 11-12 relays.  He anchored the medley relay to a 4^th place finish, and went 2^nd on the freestyle relay that touched the wall in 2^nd position.  Overall Tyler did a great job representing GTSA and the state of Florida.  I hope that all of you take pride that you come from the best swimming state in the southeast.  I hope that we can have more people on next year’s team to help Florida Swimming to 4 IN A ROW!
